The Unilever Foundry 30 South East Asia and Australasia (SEAA) represent 30 of the most ambitious startups and scale-ups in the region. Unveiled at the FUTR conference in Singapore, the 30 startups selected demonstrate a unique and exciting point of difference, poised to affect technological, consumer and social change within SEAA and will have access to opportunities to collaborate with Unilever and its partners.

1. Entrants must be start-ups in one of the categories outlined in the application
2. The closing date for entrants will be midnight 1st October 2017.
3. Eligibility of entrants will be determined by reference to the following criteria:

  1. Innovative and clearly differentiated from what's already on the market
  2. Relevant and interesting to the brand & marketing industry
  3. Company incorporation was within the last 5 years
  4. Demonstrate innovation in one of the following five categories:
    1. Future of Retail
    2. Future of Media
    3. Brand & Content Innovation
    4. Data, Insights & Personalisation
    5. Social Impact

4. Entrants must complete the Unilever Foundry Start-up Street application form and confirm that they have accepted these terms and conditions in the form.

5. Prize:

  1. The top twenty-five startups will be selected as winners and will receive a 1m x 1m stand with branded backdrop and furniture within the Start-up Street for the 2 day Summit.
  2. The top 30 startups will be recieve two attendance tickets and additional passes can be purchased at a discounted rate of $275 SGD for full 2 day access.
  3. The top 30 startups are required to take part in the Unilever Foundry Startup Street on 25th – 26th October, 2017 at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore.
  4. Winners will be given the opportunity to network with Unilever brands, marketers and other industry leaders.
  5. Winners will be listed in a Unilever Foundry section of the Press Office on-site at FUTR.

6. The top 30 companies will be selected by a panel made up of independent experts, Unilever executives and representatives from FUTR. The panel decision is at its discretion and final and cannot be challenged. The panel also reserve the right to select companies who may not comply with the criteria defined in section 4.

7. The top 30 winning companies will be announced in October 2017 and contacted directly by Unilever Foundry.

8. Entrants must be available to travel to Singapore and attend FUTR on 25th & 26th October 2017 and be able to pay for the costs of their own travel, accommodation as specified in 6d, relevant visas, any passport renewals, insurance and transfers to and from their accommodation and the FUTR Summit.

9. For the avoidance of doubt, Unilever Foundry and FUTR will not be responsible for the costs or expenses of any travel, accommodation, entertainment, insurance or day-to-day expenses incurred by any winner.

10. By accepting these terms and conditions you agree that Unilever Foundry and FUTR may publicise your company and its business on its website and/or any Unilever Foundry and FUTR promotional materials.

11. All entrants must be aged 18 or over.

In 2015 we created our vision for a new type of event. Millennial 20/20 was disruptive, both in terms of format and content. After our successful launch in London, demand from our community took us all over the world, hosting summits in Singapore, New York and Sydney in just 18 months.

Over this time, we witnessed multiple trends, technologies, innovations and business models that held the potential to disrupt the way brands and retailers operate. It became apparent that these changes were moving at a much faster pace than we ever imagined. While still driven by empowered consumers, we identified trends that were in the near-future that we wanted to bring to life through our events.

FUTR is our own evolution. FUTR is actively engaged in next-generation commerce. FUTR is the must-attend event to identify what’s next.
