M20/20 Closing Party

The M20/20 team want to invite all attending delegates to the closing party which will take place within the venue @ The Old Truman Brewery, at the end of play on the second day of the Summit.

It is an opportunity to relax, network, unwind and meet each other over some amazing cocktails and canapés, with a music provided by one of New York's coolest DJs, DJ Trauma.

About DJ Trauma:
Jamal Reid, AKA DJ Trauma, has cemented himself as one of New York City's most sought-after DJs. For more than a decade he has remained a fixture among the club circuit, deejaying parties for some of today's hottest celebrities, including Alicia Keys, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna, Trauma's passion for deejaying stems from his coming of age in New York City, the epicenter of hip-hop culture and the capital of the music industry. Trauma grew up in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, where, as a young DJ, he spun at house parties and local events before heading to Washington D.C., to attend Howard University. In D.C. he further honed his skills by spinning at popular clubs, concerts, and shows.

As Trauma's career developed, he landed coveted gigs on BET's 106 & Park and VH1's Love and Hip Hop. He became the resident DJ at Barclay's 40/40 Lounge during the Brooklyn Nets' 2014–2015 season and performed at events for Patti LaBelle, Spike Lee, and Aretha Franklin. His client list has included Adidas, China Airlines, Citi Group, Essence, and MTV. In 2014, he won Global Spin's "Open Format Breakthrough DJ of the Year" award.

Trauma credits much of his success to providing one-of- a-kind experiences to the people who attend his events. That was certainly the case when he was asked to spin at Al Sharpton’s 60th birthday party, the wrap party for Celebrity Apprentice, and the Dance Theatre of Harlem's annual Vision Gala.

With his Traphouse NYC brand, Trauma is now looking to bring a new level of sophistication to New York City events. Traphouse hosts exclusive invite-only parties at secret locations, regularly drawing more than 500 influencers, creatives, and artists such as Manolo Rose, Tyson Beckford & Kehlani all of whom partied at Trauma’s Traphouse in Brooklyn this past year.

In addition to Trauma’s current residencies in NYC, He often travels around the world including: Dubai, London & Belgium. Follow Trauma on social media at @DJTraumaNYC.

The FUTR is here. M20/20 expands into FUtureTRends; the year-round conversation on the future of consumer-facing commerce.

In 2015 we created our vision for a new type of event. Millennial 20/20 was disruptive, both in terms of format and content. We were quick to identify the rapidly-changing consumer landscape driven by the digitally-savvy, mobile-first, tech-native millennial generation. Our vision was to bring together brands and retailers with the latest solutions and innovations able to meet these needs and transform each part of the customer journey.

After our successful launch in London, demand from our community took us all over the world, hosting summits in Singapore, New York and Sydney in just 18 months.

Over this time, we witnessed multiple trends, technologies, innovations and business models that held the potential to disrupt the way brands and retailers operate. It became apparent that these changes were moving at a much faster pace than we ever imagined. While still driven by empowered consumers, we identified trends that were in the near-future that we wanted to bring to life through our events.

FUTR is our own evolution. FUTR is actively engaged in next-generation commerce. FUTR is the must-attend event to identify what’s next.

The FUTR is here.

This isn’t just a conference and exhibition. FUTR is an authentic global community for those who want to stay at the cutting-edge of insights, technology and solutions. The move to FUTR is not only a change of name, but a new commitment to year-round conversation for analysis and insight-sharing. A watering hole for the future-focused leaders who want to see “what’s next”, understand how to bridge ‘the gap between now and next’, while carrying forward authentic values with no baggage. FUTR is both cross-industry and global. We strive to find the lessons from across the globe to inspire and mobilise leaders as they seek to connect with today’s consumer.

M20/20 was the launch pad for us to understand this space; to listen and learn what leaders and innovators really want. FUTR is the next chapter.

Whether it’s accessing brand-new content at one of our summits, attending insightful roundtables and workshops, or gaining knowledge from our newly-launched research platform FUTR Insights; we want you to be part of FUTR for all Future Trends.
