The Experience Economy is here to stay. Beyond just buying products, consumers crave memorable experiences that engage their senses and make them feel a part of something bigger. As more consumers shift their attention and spend to experiences over stuff, it will become critical for brands and retailers to satisfy this craving in a differentiated way.
Customers need a compelling reason to invest a scarce resource – their time – in visiting and engaging with you IRL (in real life). The hard truth is that companies who allow their physical presence and customer experience to fall short may not be here in 5 years time. Experience the world through different lenses, e.g. customers, employees, etc. Participants will be asked to suspend their disbelief and immerse themselves in someone else’s shoes to gain a new perspective.
Peek behind the curtain. e.g., Insights from the actual people who did it, exclusive behind-the-scenes visits, etc.
Gain a cross-industry perspective. This experience is not about simply learning from your competitive set or making obvious observations. Expect thoughtful curation of analogous experiences/services.
