Business Design Centre, London
24th - 25th April 2019

We invite you to step into the London consumer’s shoes on a facilitated half-day immersive tour of leading innovative experiences.

The Experience Economy is here to stay. Beyond just buying products, consumers crave memorable experiences that engage their senses and make them feel a part of something bigger. As more consumers shift their attention and spend to experiences over stuff, it will become critical for brands and retailers to satisfy this craving in a differentiated way.

Customers need a compelling reason to invest a scarce resource – their time – in visiting and engaging with you IRL (in real life). The hard truth is that companies who allow their physical presence and customer experience to fall short may not be here in 5 years time. From retailers and brands to restauranteurs and hotel owners, the time is now to up your experience game and invest in making your physical spaces stand out.

Which is all easier said than done. On our tours, we will focus on answering this key question:

How can I design experiences IRL that are engaging, ignite feeling, and create a lasting memory and brand connection?

  • Thoughtfully designed end-to-end experience from the moment you arrive to the closing session

  • 5-6 unique experiences and site visits

  • Guided by industry experts & trained facilitator

  • Insights from company hosts, start-ups, target customers and other speakers

  • Opportunity to play and engage multiple senses – test new tech, try out new services, etc.

  • Facilitated wrap-up session

  • Guidebook and visual summary of insights

  • Expanded network of peers, like-minded professionals & potential future business partners

Facilitator: Sandy Hernandez,
Designer and Facilitator of one-of-a-kind immersive innovation tours.

  • Experience the world through different lenses, e.g. customers, employees, etc. Participants will be asked to suspend their disbelief and immerse themselves in someone else’s shoes to gain a new perspective.

  • Peek behind the curtain. e.g., Insights from the actual people who did it, exclusive behind-the-scenes visits, etc.

  • Gain a cross-industry perspective. This experience is not about simply learning from your competitive set or making obvious observations. Expect thoughtful curation of analogous experiences/services.

  • Authentic and informed point of view. Participants will get a candid perspective and assessment of innovations. Both the good, the bad and the ugly.

  • Active. This is not a shopping trip out. Participants will engage in facilitated and fast-paced activities.

  • Leave with tangible outcomes. Guidebook, visual summary of insights, connect with peers/expand network, learn something that will inspire you to do something differently tomorrow.

  • This tour is ideal for professionals from consumer-facing companies who are passionate about their customers and serious about upping their experience game in their spaces & environments.

  • These could include CEOs, COOs, CMOs, CCOs, CDOs, Designers, Directors; Managers (Innovation, Brand, Customer Insight, Marketers, Digital, Customer Experience Leads, Stores, Merchandising) seeking inspiration from this exciting market.

  • Bespoke Tours and Experiences for private groups are also available. Please get in touch via for more information.

The FUTR is here. M20/20 expands into FUtureTRends; the year-round conversation on the future of consumer-facing commerce.

In 2015 we created our vision for a new type of event. Millennial 20/20 was disruptive, both in terms of format and content. We were quick to identify the rapidly-changing consumer landscape driven by the digitally-savvy, mobile-first, tech-native millennial generation. Our vision was to bring together brands and retailers with the latest solutions and innovations able to meet these needs and transform each part of the customer journey.

After our successful launch in London, demand from our community took us all over the world, hosting summits in Singapore, New York and Sydney in just 18 months.

Over this time, we witnessed multiple trends, technologies, innovations and business models that held the potential to disrupt the way brands and retailers operate. It became apparent that these changes were moving at a much faster pace than we ever imagined. While still driven by empowered consumers, we identified trends that were in the near-future that we wanted to bring to life through our events.

FUTR is our own evolution. FUTR is actively engaged in next-generation commerce. FUTR is the must-attend event to identify what’s next.

The FUTR is here.

This isn’t just a conference and exhibition. FUTR is an authentic global community for those who want to stay at the cutting-edge of insights, technology and solutions. The move to FUTR is not only a change of name, but a new commitment to year-round conversation for analysis and insight-sharing. A watering hole for the future-focused leaders who want to see “what’s next”, understand how to bridge ‘the gap between now and next’, while carrying forward authentic values with no baggage. FUTR is both cross-industry and global. We strive to find the lessons from across the globe to inspire and mobilise leaders as they seek to connect with today’s consumer.

M20/20 was the launch pad for us to understand this space; to listen and learn what leaders and innovators really want. FUTR is the next chapter.

Whether it’s accessing brand-new content at one of our summits, attending insightful roundtables and workshops, or gaining knowledge from our newly-launched research platform FUTR Insights; we want you to be part of FUTR for all Future Trends.
